I'm sure most folks have seen the original 1972 motion picture The Poseidon Adventure. In the beginning there is the scene where the band is warming up and the song is The Morning After sung by Renee Armand for Carol Lynley.

So what was that funky flower vase shaped mic being used in that scene?
Anybody?

LMFAO!!! :D :D :D

The chick (if she can still be called that) Carol Lynley, is still kicking around if you want to look her up.

Shoot I'm almost there with the beard if I stop trimming it :D

It's not a mic, it's an internal communication device called a "bosemans blower" and it is used to communicate with the engine room. (heh, heh, he said blower.....heh)
