ADD -- blessing and curse
I'm having more trouble with Session Drummer.

What I'm trying to do is create a basic drum track. So what I do is create a MIDI track with Session Drummer in it. Then I put the out to my sound card.

Then I create an audio track, put the "in" as the sound card, and do the recording. The recording comes in silent.

What am I doing wrong?

I got these directions straight from the help files on CakeWalk HS 2002.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

When you say put it out to your sound card, which sound card are you using? Are you sending it to the sound cards MIDI Out?.. if that's the case, it's only sending note data (ie no sound as such).

If the Sound card has an on board 'synth' you should be able to send it to that and set up your Volume control to the Wave in, you should be able to record it. But as I said, it depends on your sound card... if it is a SB series, they should have that synth available to you..

Does Home Studio come with the Edirol VSC (Virtual Sound Canvas), because you can also you that.. ie insert it into a project, send the MIDI tracks to it and then record it's outputs.

Yes it does :)

MJR, refer to the section in the HomeStudio handbook Working With Soft Synths because that covers the subject very clearly and is easy to understand.

Come back if you still can't get any joy from those Durms.
