Hey all
I was wondering if any of you do anything to help with seperation/clarity of guitar tracks in general. More specifically I mean...if you have recorded two overdriven guitars and maybe you have panned them respectively, maybe not, do you try and eq them in any way, especially as they are probably fighting for the same space? Just wondering as when I listen to song from artists like Iron Maiden....they have great overdriven guitar tones and huge seperation. When I listen to my own recordings (panned etc in a simular vain to Iron Maiden) they sound a little mudded.....
Thoughts...?
