that's right, a little upgrading for my comp.

first, anyone see anything wrong with this memory or HD?

*SAMSUNG 160GB 7200RPM IDE Hard Drive, Model SP1604N, OEM Drive Only
*Kingston 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-2700 - OEM (making for a total of 1280 or something mb of memory!).

2nd, I like to play games on this comp too. Nothing has ever interfiered with recording so far, and at the moment i dont really care. but, some of the games i have run like complete crap on this system. my current card (which is in a PCI slot, whichi is the biggest problem - or so many internet pages tell me):

*NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro PCI

How is this card, to replace my current one (AGP!): ?

*AOpen nVIDIA GeForce4 MX440-8X Video Card, 64MB DDR, TV-Out, 8X AGP, Model "MX440 8X-V64" -RETAIL

Really, I just want a decent card (preferebly under 40 bucks), that is AGP, and that wont interfier with recording. I really dont know much about video cards so i'm kinda in the dark here...ha!

so what do you all say to that??

hehe... you need video card more than anything to play games good. MX series were always famous for their crappiness. Nothing decent under 40$, don't even try. This card is gonna perform better than ancient Riva, but still won't make playing current games enjoyable. Depends on what you mean by 'playing games' of course. If you're talking about windows games, or 2d rpgs/strategies - this one would be more than enough.

ha..i'm not.

i'm talkin about command and conquer: generals, sim city 4, the new SIMS 2 when it comes out. stuff like that...ha

so what would you suggest then? I'm gettin it off newegg.com whatever it is. and I want it to be AGP.

BTW, i just read that my motherboard AGP slot is 4X agp. does that mean I can do 2x cards, and NOT 8x cards? ha.

hit me up with a new link, cuz that one is WHACK!

..or maybe just newegg.com is whack..i'll try it again in an hour! ha.
