Well, I didn't really get any takers for my Death Metal collaboration, so I ended up writing the guitar parts myself :D .

I recorded this a couple weeks ago actually, but I thought I would go ahead and post it since nobody else has done anything with it yet.

I'll probably record some vocals this weekend, but I'm still up for someone else contributing vocals if you want.

By the way, the title to this song means absolutely nothing. I just wanted to post it on my Black Prophecy page and the title needed to sound evil. :mad:

Cool man!!!! I'd love to help, but can't play that cleanly for this. I'd be up for some vox if you want, but they wouldn't be anything speacial.
The run at 1:30 is cool...

Drums sound really good man...something I still need to work on a bunch. That kick is perfect for this tune. How do you make it sound like that? Mine always seem to have too much low, and get flabby, or not enough, and it sounds like a snare....I have trouble getting it right...

If you want any help, let me know, otherwise, I'll wait for version 2...... :D

For that kick, I use the Sonor kick with the wood mallet in DFHS, with no Eq at all, and I layer a sample over it using Drumagog to add the clickiness to it, it's just an extremely eq'd sample with a whole bunch of high end.
I used to cut the midrange alot around 300 Hz, but I've found that overlaying a clicky sample sort of gives the same illusion and the kick is fuller sounding.

Thanks man...I've probably been trying way too hard to get certain sounds. I know it should be much simpler with these programs. I always forget about using a second track, with extreme eq, or compression to add to the original... :D (they don't have a slapping forhead smiley...)
 
maybe consider posting on the Andy Sneap forum at ultimatemetal.com ... you're much more likely to get what you're looking for there. this place just isn't what I'd consider a Metal Mecca.

Thanks, and I do post there too sometimes. I'm not really looking for anything though, I just like to share this stuff with my friends here at HR.
 
Good shit man.GOod quality and all but...I don't mean to offend you at all but this sounds so generic IMO. Like I've said,metal does get a little monotonous after a while.
 
Well, this isn't exactly my life's work here...I'm just screwing around. This sort of thing is alot of fun to do though, regardless of how unoriginal it may be.

Where else do I get to play arpeggios that are that wankery, and have it actually fit? That's pretty much the whole point for me. :p

Do you listen to alot of death metal, hat?

yea all the time. One of my fav death metal is Carnal Forge
 
The guitar riffs are pretty tight there. It reminds me of Arsonists Get All The Girls, the drum sounded awesome too.

I'm still try to get that click sound.

THis is very cool, me likey. Reminds me of a very dark version of RUSH, and thats a big compliment. Nice and tight and really like the drum patterns.

metalhead......I would LOVE to do vocals for any part of the song if you like. You know my vocal style and what I can and can not do so you can decide.

I love this song dude!!! Powerfull, fast and perfect death metal...my God I love it.

Dude, the song is pretty cool.

You didn't get anything offers from me 'coz either I wasn't around when you posted or because I can't actually play anywhere close to the speed and tight rhythm timing required to play this. So either way, I enjoyed listening to it but I don't think I could play anything in this songs speed or time. :D
 
Whooo full on. I've just realized I'm not getting enough death metal in my life. Some tricky beats...nice. You've got the sound nailed too. Have some fun playing this stuff live :D
