Nice, and I get off work early today! I'll check 'em tonight and post my thoughts. Thanks again!

Just wanted to say, loving the toms! I'm going to try them out tonight.

Yeh!

You've saved my life! :D

I tracked a emo band with a 10" snare.. dont ask. Anyway - it sounded poo...

But now it doesn't! Thankyou Drumagog Demo and Pipelineaudio! :D

Pipelineaudio is my hero and fathered my wife's children. They're all called Aaron!

Hey pipleline, how much do you use drum samples in a pro studio setting?
Is it pretty standard procedure now, at least for metal drums? Only on problem drum tracks?

I use them a lot, will go through phases where I dont breifly ( actually I think the "phases" are caused by spurts of better bands). Lots of times Ill add them to the drums, not replace them completely.

One trick that I hear used a lot is to send the triggers only to the reverb sends and not to the main buss.

Another one is for the obligatory "loop breakdown section" in so many songs nowdays. You can make a loopy sound with them and some distortion/compression/eq, and not need to go find some loop.

Turning on the radio though, and its time for a game called "spot the sample". There's a snare which comes stock with another triggering app, that seems like you can hear on almost everything!

Seems like whther it needs it or not, you have to do that snare, kinda like auto tune in auto mode, whether it needs it or not, with so much radio stuff
