A friend of mine who is huge into Black Sabbath did the basslines for this cover this time around.

This one is proving to be a bit trickier than War Pigs.
Tony used a really shitty guitar tone on the real recording. It sounds like an overcompressed guitar sim honestly. Still searching for it.
There are more guitars in general here that overlap and make the midsection a bit undefined in way.

I am aware that the arpeggios at the start a bit out of tune but I've decided that I like them and won't be re-tracking them.

Have a listen and expect a few more Black Sabbath covers in the next weeks. I finished laying down the bass for Into the Void tonight.

edit: Just finished laying down "Into the Void". I'll just add that into this thread instead of making a new one.

Man, I really love the stuff your doing! I would like to request "Sweet Leaf" :)

I'm going to do Into the Void and then probably Supernaut.
Sweet Leef and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath are on the list though!

It's strange to hear sabbath without that jazzy drum sound but instead a modernistic look with more metal sounding drums!

I tried using softer samples on the last Black Sabbath song but everybody complained :D
Maybe I should do oldies mix where the bass and guitar are hard panned with softer drum sounds.

Thanks for the listen.

You are really making up for all that nerd shit you were doing before. Black Sabbath is the first band I ever listened to as a child where I even noticed the bass guitar, and it got me fascinated with the bass and made me realize just how much a great bassline could boost a song. This is great. Get someone to sing over it. Fuck, I'll even do it. I remember this song was in my head the first time I ever did blow.

I look forward to "In The Void". That is in my top 3 black sabbath songs.

I jumped right on the "snowblind" cover and failed to realize you'd already posted an "into the void" cover. First time posting using a cell phone, you see.

I like your into the void cover. Personally, I'd make it more aggressive-sounding... for my taste, it has a little too much of that classic, "I've been smoking dope all day" languid sabbath sound. But you did a good job. Start singing over these fucking things.

...if you want to capture that pothead sabbath vibe, do "lord of this world". Take me to heaven! Da na na na na...

Hey NTB, you want to the vocals for Snowblind?

The mix sounds a little flat - not much in the way of dynamics except the odd snare pops out. Maybe compression not sure....
The lead could use some automation if it's supposed to be the same volume throughout.
The overall mix is a good start and the playing is great. You need someone to sing so you can mix that in.

I think it's mainly the guitar sims. Too much gain.
