Last week they unvailed the new moog voyager at a music store right down the block from where I work. I did not have a chance to get there though I really wanted to.

Has anyone seen this up close an personal. What's the deal. Should I be svaing my pennies?

Ahhhhhh... pure fucking heaven.

I almost drool all over the Signature edition every time go into the music store. The thing practically drips with thick and weird sounds. The touch pad is really cool and you can get some very expressive effects. And the knobs..... the knobs are as silky smooth as a young virgin's.... well, you know what I mean. ;)

Hmm, sounds like quite the experience. I bet I could get $100.00 an hour on the thing from generous young men...

I got to check out the Voyager today. It was great. In fact, I put a down payment on the thing. the one I checked out was the first one in New York City. Bob Moog did a demo of it on November 6th three blocks from where I work but I could not make it that day. Anyway, today I went to the place and there it was. Nobody else around, just sitting there signed by Bob Moog.

It was a minimoog tried and true except is has midi, is touch sensative, has this weird touch screen for triggering things like a giant ribbon controller, has some addition things and, best of all, sounds like a minimoog.

As soon as I heard it I was in heaven. As far a electronic music is concerned, a better sounding instrument has yet to be made. Of course, the moog modular, the basis for the minimoog would do the same and eve more but that is not practical and they cost a fortune. Finding one, repairing it and maintaining it would be a full time job and an expensive one at that.

So, the Voyager is great and I want it.
