monster cable questions

i might be buying sum speaker monster cables off some guy.
but im not gonna be using them for speakers. will this effect the sound since the wire and coppers all gonna differ.
would i be better off investing in instrument wires to connect my amp and pedals?

Yes. Use the proper cable for the application. If you need to hook up pedals get patch cables.

It is important to use speaker cables only for speakers and use instrument cables for instrument-pedals-amp, etc. and to not swap them.

Thus, get instrument/patch cables for your pedals and amp. Use speaker cables from your amp to your speakers.
