What monitors should I buy to listen to my mic through. LOL. I didn't even realize how funny that was until now!!! I just wanted it to be stupid, and NOT on the topic of this forum.

Those Barbie mics DO sound interesting....*note to self....go to Toys R Us and find Barbie microphone...* They probably cost about the same of those godaweful Behringer mics everybody is thinking is such a hot deal!!!! Probably cost MORE than those Behringers, and probably sound BETTER to boot!!! Barbie at least has a LITTLE class, and wouldn't use too crappy of a mic. With the bank she is making, she could probably afford to commision a pretty decent little mic to ship with her "Karaoke Barbie" kit. Errrrrrrrrr, IS there a "Karaoke Barbie" yet? Shit, I shouldn't have opened my mouth....

A1A2, there are currently around two dozen different bands with CD's available for sale in the Portland Oregon area that have my name on them in one capacity of another. I was PAID to work on them all....

Alright, I haven't actually used the Barbie mic yet, but I do remember they made 'em for little kids as part of the "Barbie and the Rockers" karaoke set back in the 80s. (Hey! I have a little sister, alright!!!!)

Anyway, as for monitors. I was wondering why the Yamaha MSP10 are so bloudy expensive? Has anyone tried the Tanoy Actives to compare. The reason I ask is that they are less than half thge bucks, and in my opinion, they sounded better. Whayt do you think?

Ed,I've been doing alot of thinking on this and I think for monitors you need a pair of hall monitors from an all girl Catholic college.For cosmetic puposes you should get the model with the uniform with the short checkered skirts.
