It's nearly a split decision on these two for me.
KRK's seem to have a fuller, rounder sound...smooth. A little more bottom.
Yam's seem to have REALLY revealing mids and highs, and a very tight, articulated low end...but I've yet to hear them in an ideal environment.
Both are the same price, and Yamaha has a long, solid rep for monitors. KRK's also seem to have a solid pedigree and sound excellent, but I'm uncertain as to which might be more 'honest.'
I'm using a 10'x11' bedroom for a studio, and it's decently treated.
Thoughts or opinions?
Thanks, Dan
