Hello,

I'm planning to buy a pair of monitors for a small home studio (mainly rock, pop). After a good research I've manage to get it down to the following remaining setups, and I would like your answer to the following question: (please save me from the go and listen argument, that's not the point here, been thru that phase...). (Prices are from my local music store, andreassonmusik.se, converted to US dollar).

* Which of the following setups do you consider to be the most value for money for a small home studio?

Yamaha HS80M : ($ 680)
Yamaha HS80M + HS10W sub : ($ 1345)

Adam A7X : ($ 1332)
Adam A7X + SUB8 : ($ 2072)

Adam A7X + SUB10 mk II : ($ 2427) - (SUB overkill?)

Thx for all your help!

The ADAM's are in a completely different universe of quality over the Yammie's IMO/E.

That said - I'm a big fan of doing everything possible to avoid a sub 90% of the time -- If there's a shot at Dynaudio BM15's or something, I'd go that route.

Thx folks , i know the Adams are better quality, The thing is: are the Adams that much better that it motivates the price differences? Would it be more or less value with a sub? (sub8 or sub10?)

More than "that much" better IMO...

Still, a gently used set of BM15's might be in the cards as well.
