MONITORS vs Computer speakers

Personally, I'm very happy with the mixes I've made on the Wharfs. I feel they have very good neutrality and are very far from "shit." And one final time, I said it is "tougher" to mix sub- 80Hz on the Wharfs. You're acting like the sound just disappears completely. Yeah, if I was mixing rap or hip-hop I would have never purchased them. End.

Certainly, a "bag of shite" and Whafies are not directly comparable.
When I call them "Wharfeshits" it's because I compared them to similar priced much better monitors like the KRK RP6 and Samson Rubicon series.
Wharfedales don't match the KRK and Samson as far as build quality and sound quality goes. The only thing a Wharf surpasses is Behringer monitors, and even then I'm not so sure.

I recently went from pc speakers to monitors, and boy does it make a HUGE difference. I picked up a pair of event 20/20s and an alesis power-amp of ebay for less than £200 (~$350) and I'm very happy with them. Second hand is a great way to go if you're on a limited budget IMO.

Hi again, guys

Our local store, Guitar Center had a promotion - 15 month No Interest purchase using their car which I happen to have...... so, I went there tonight to see what they have. ZThey did not have anything in the price range I wanted.... I mean they had it, but it sounded like shit to me... the best I heard was E-MU PM5 $250x2 So, I got them. There allso was m-audio but they were so huge... but same price. Sounded good too.
Anyhew, got home... connected it everything... so far I like it. will try to really work with them tomorrow. Listened to studio recordings.... sounds good. Listened to some of my work, some sounded good, some sounded like shit. So, now I know what to twik.

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions... too bad the store did not have those brands.
