Monitors/Subs

Alright, sorry if this is posted earlier:

I am getting a new pair of M-Audio BX-5 studio monitors, but I hear they lack on the bass-end of things...what can I do in a mid price-range to compensate for this and make it better/easier to mix (including bass)? I'm talking 250/300$ tops...less preferrably/if possible...thanks for your help--

Lots written about this subject, Unger. To avoid repeating myself, I'd just suggest searching this forum for BX5 + sub. You'll find a lot. In short, from my experience, adding the matching sbx sub is the best bet, but my low-cost fix (wharfedale powercube 8) integrates surprisingly well for under $150. I've written about it elsewhere here.
