Monitors close to the wall

My desk really can't be pulled back a few feet to keep the monitors from being really close to the wall. Is there something else I can do? Also, do you guys know where to get small monitor stands for real cheap. I don't need the real big ones, just one to put on my desk to raise them a foot or two.
 
You can place some absorbers of some form on your wall behind your speakers. This will help a little!
 
that's what I thought. What type of absorbers are there, what are the best to use for this, how much are they and where can I buy them?
