I got my 1/2 outs going to my reciever, for headphone monitoring.
I got my 3/4 outs going to my studiophiles.

On Vegas, I got the software sending the OUTS to 3/4, so that I can just hit "mute" on the delta mixer, and it will silence the studiophiles - yet, still allow sound to come out of the 1/2 outs (where it leads to my headphones, aka for recording). So this is perfect for my recording situation.

The only problem is, It seems that I CANT figure out how to still have that possible, while allowing people who are recording (namely pain in the ars vocalists) to hear themselves in the headphones (outs 1/2).

Any ideas how I can set this up? Of course I'd be open for some ways to change it up. But I can't think of anything at the time being. haha.
thanks crew. PEACE

Have Vegas send the outs to the monitor mixer- I think that's what it's designed for :)

Monitor..... Mixer......

Actually, I don't think Vegas can send directly to the monitor mixer, only to wave out 1/2, wave out 3/4......... You need to route those to the monitor mixer in the Delta routing page. Try using an aux buss in vegas for the headphone send, going out to Delta 3/4, routed to HW out 3/4, and send the main outs of Vegas to Delta 1/2, routed to the monitor mixer, sent out to HW out 1/2. That will give you what you want with the added bonus of a custom headphone mix that gives the performer what he wants to hear, and the engineer the mix buss.

Cheers, RD

I tried what I THINK you told me to do...and it didn't work too well . hahahaha. I think I just misunderstood massively.

Could you try again - a little more detailed? haha.

aka, what do I set the following to:
m-audio control panel (patchbay/router)
veags (master..kinda like - the "everything default out"..haha)
making an aux bus to send to outs?

is 1/2 my headphone amp/reciever or is 1/2 my monitors?

THANKS..haha.

really now, it's driving me crazy. haha.

I can get the mic (hot mic, currently being recorded) to be heard on my MONITORS, but not on the HEADPHONES.. I want them to be heard on the HEADPHONES. NOT the monitors! haha. I'm all out of ideas.

If I just switch the monitors with the headphones in the 1/2 3/4 jacks, it wont help me because then I CANT mute my monitors...and I need to be able to, because I have no control booth, etc.

somebody answer this guy's question! im having the same problem.

Have you got a mixer?

If so you could send the outputs back to the mixer and control the phones/monitor split from there....maybe...
