I have been using a Terratec EWS88/MT soundcard. It gives me 8 ins and outs. I am using AA 1.5 as my recording software. Currently, with the terratec, I can assign all tracks to outs 1 & 2 on the sound card. Then by setting outputs 1 and 2 to Digital Mixer in my control pannel, I can monitor EVERYTHING. I can hear the tracks being played back, and I can hear any other signal comming into the sound card.

Does anyone know if this is possible with the delta 1010. I would like to connect my active monitors to outs 1 and 2 of the delta and be able to hear playback and the incomming signals at the same time just like with the terratec.

I have also provided a pic of the delta's control panel...

I have the 1010.. its definately possible.. i use pro tools.. all trakcs go out through mains 1-2 ... out 1-2 on the delta 1010 go to my monitors..

then could you go into a little more detail on your settings....

Not sure if you've seen the manual for the 1010 - you can get a PDF copy at http://www.m-audio.com/images/global/manuals/Delta1010_Manual.pdf

I haven't had a lot of experience with my 1010, but if I understand you correctly, you want to monitor all the inputs on your 1010 from ports 1&2. I believe you can do this using the Monitor Mixer page - you select the volume levels and whether you want to solo/mute each channel on this page. You then assign the monitor output to ports 1&2 using the Patchbay/Router page using the "Monitor Mixer" selection.

I have been able to monitor the inputs, or I can monitor the playback. I have not been able to monitor both at once though...that is my problem...

c'mon guys...surely someone knows something here????
