Monitoring problems.

I was impetuous and purchased a usb mic before researching the pros and cons-stupid-I know. I have absolutely no monitoring from the mic when I record-not even in recordings that are not accompanied by other tracks. I would appreciate any input on this matter-thanx.

Create a headphone mix and send it to whatever output you're using (headphone, I'd imagine).

Download asio4all and install it, after that open the daw with which you work and select in audio settings asio4all driver, in the asio4all panel (down right corner) select your usb mic to be input, and your sound card to be output, after that select buffer size at the minimum possible samples in which the recordings don't have glitches, and that's it.

Create a headphone mix using an auxiliary send. Make sure the aux is routed to whatever your monitoring point is.
