Hey im not sure if this is the right place to post this but it seemed closest. I have a computer using nuendo hooked up to an 01v via adat. the computer has a terratec ews88d soundcard. I use yorkville ysm1p to monitor from the mixer.

my question: When i try to pan in nuendo, it doesnt work. I am pretty sure it has something to do with the 01v settings. When i pan left it gets louder throuhg both speakers and when i pan right the sound totally goes away.

Ive spent so much time trying to figure out the problem because i want to pan.
anyone know what it may be? or is there any more detail i could list that would help you answer the question better? thanks a lot

You are obviously only sending one channel to both monitors instead of the Left and Right.

How do you have your monitors hooked up?

That isn't enough info. Tell us the entire signal path -- from the recording software out to the mixer's outs.

nuendo on the computer. ews88d soundcard going out from the computer into the mixer via an adat expansion on the 01v. then an adat going from the out on the 01v to the in on the computer. from the mixer i have the monitors connected to the monitor outs.

im thinking it is the settings in the mixer. even when i pan some tracks all the way left or right, when i mix down and look at the stereo tracks it still shows a left panned track on the right channel just a little lower. the right and left channel are identical just one is at a lower level so im not getting stereo.

Sounds like both channels are being sent to a single aux buss on your mixer. Try plugging your monitors into the main L-R outputs on the mixer rather than the monitor sends, or check the aux send routing to make sure your L-R channels from the computer are assigned to two different aux sends on your mixer.
