Using Pro audio 9:
I'm quite new to recording at all, but especially using cakewalk. Doubtless my problem is easily solved, but the online help about it is missing and the offline help lacks in many areas. Anyway:
I can't figure out how to monitor a track as I am recording it. In specific I am going from my bass, to a digital effects pedal (to boost signal and shape tone) which is functionaing as a direct box, to my audio input. the signal records well and plays back just fine afterward. However, the fact that I'm going directly in prevents me from hearing anything but the strings (anyone who has played bass knows this simply will not do). How can I have the signal coming out of my speakers as a play (or at least milliseconds behind)?
Notes:
Full Duplex is enaabled/
I am able to play back previous tracks while recording a new one.
Thank you in advance for any time spend resolving my query.
