Whatsup everyone.

I got them M-Audio BX8 Studiophile monitors. Well I finally got em setup but I need help with the setting switches on the back of them. I'm not sure what the best settings are yet. Maybe you could help me figure out what they do... Heres what they have:

Acoustic Space (0, -2, or -4 dBs)
High Freq (0, -2, or -4 dBs)
Mid-Range (Flat or Presence)
Low Cutoff (37, 47, or 80 Hz)

Now the room they are setup in is fairly small 10'x11'. So any help with the settings on these is appreciated. I do have the manual that came with them but that doesn't say too much... I guess its more a matter of what sounds best but I dunno... I still have yet to hear them because I'm waiting until my firepod arrives to hook everything up...

Any help is greatly appreciated once again.

Thanks ya'll..

I have the BX5's and they have similar switches for adjusting the sound to suit your room. I actually have not touched them at this stage. I live in a unit and my 'studio' (my PC that has a Firebox and the monitors set up with it) is in my room which has white walls and a concrete floor. So I figure there's not much I can really do to get a great sound...although they sound sweet to me.

I recommend trial and error. That's what I am going to do once I get my set up into a better location. I think basically all they do is provide you with a way of maybe limiting the boom, lowering the treble etc. I reckon you already knew that.

Just muck around with them until you get a sound that is nice for you
