which moniters would you recommend for around ($300). I will be using them with a delta 44 and sonar 2.0 XL. I was looking at the MAudio SP5B's anyone have any experience with them?
where do the moniters plug in?
all help is always appreciated

Occassionaly it seems that there is an awful lot of voodoo mumbo jumbo on this site when it comes to monitors. Best advice I know is to grab your favorite tracks, then head down to your local vendor who can demo monitors. Start with the pricest one they have, and work your way down to the one you think you can afford. If it sounds like you can live with it until you win the lottery, your all set. If not, well... who really needs fast food anyway.

Good choice..I use em and they sound great :D
As far as hooking them up...they are 1/4 inputs.
So, a cable with 1/4 on one end and whatever your soundcards outputs are on the other end.

Modal, I have the SP-5b's also, and I like them a lot. Although I'm a little ticked off that I paid $300 for them 8 months ago, and I could get the 8's for that price right now! I've heard that the 8's have a better low end response on them.
I think there's a thread devoted to them around here somewhere. . .

Here's the thread,
I just got them but don't have much experience with using monitors yet. As stated above and in the thread above it is also stated, go check them out with some of your favorite cd's of the style of music you like.

sp5b's and I guess all monitors need to be placed properly in a room, so far away from a wall , and so far away from you at ear level,I learned this here and it makes sense, check out the link above if you haven't already
good luck
