mon VS mon

whats the criteria for judging?...

home or studio use?....

flat response?.....

fatigue issues?....

how pretty they are?......

NS10's are the industry standard....they are flat....mixes done with these translate well because they are very unforgiving......the slightest of mixing errors will jump out on these.....they are the most widely used monitor in the biggie studios.....only drawback is they can be a tad on the fatiguing side......

Myself, I rather the Tannoy Proto-Js...somewhat similar to the Yorkvilles....Like the Yorkville's, maybe not as extremely accurate as the NS-10's but pretty darn good....alot easier on the ears.....

so, if i were mixing a pro record, NS-10's....for home studio use, the YSM-1's....

hey Atomic, the yorkies your asking about are approx. 320.00 a pair than add the tax, mind you this is up in my town Vancouver , Canada. Cheers Gag.

Yo Gag & Atomic One:

Go across the bridge into Niagra Falls USA and Yorkville has an office there and there should be a dealer close by.

Cost for me in Grand Rapids, MI was 102 per speaker from a back door dealer here.

I've heard they can be had for less than 100 pezzutos each from other places.

I'm speaking of the passive speakers.
