*I will read up on the MIC information post* - thanks
- having trouble getting a satisfying sound with an AT4033a condenser mic -
-i was wondering if selling it and upgrading to an AT4050 could make a difference with the scenario below -
I play lofi electronic/guitar/minimal songs and I'm trying to now avoid buying mediocre gear and then spending hours trying to make it sound good - I'd rather be able to record a clear sound and then have the options to manipulate it -
I am currently trying to record a magnus chord organ - its an antique wind powered organ from the 50s with gritty sounding major/minor chords - Daniel Johnston has played one similiar to this I believe -
-when I record w/ the mic it sounds a little harsh - I run out to a audio buddy preamp/phantom power and then to a DBX166 compressor, a Tascam MM-1 mixer and finally a DA-38 dat 8 track dat recorder -
- any advice? on searching for a proper mic (or anything lacking in the recording gear)
