modules and effects

hey
i was hoping if anyone would fill me in on how modules work?
and ... i wanna get information on these things
i have a band .. we would like to enhance our music with this .
really interested ..

When you say modules - do you mean sound modules? If that is what you mean. A sound module has various sounds in it (it's like a keyboard synth - without the black and white keyboard).

To play the sounds, you hook up a controller to the module using a MIDI cable. Although a controller is normally a keyboard, there are also guitar, persussion and wind MDID controllers.

Since you would need a controller anyway, you may be better off just getting a MIDI keyboard.
