Modifying Fender Blues Jr.

I have friend who wants one of these and heard that if you modify the reverb, like replace the parts with quality parts, it will play like a dream. I know the amp is decent, I have played them a few times, but I have never bothered much with the reverb...
Anyone know of any standard modifications that go along with this amp?
