Hey guys, I have been searching round a fair bit all over the web and over the forum and have heard a bit of information about modding these particular mics. I have a pair that I would like to do a bit of experimenting on, but well, I'm completely new to this whole modding business, so any help your be much appreciated!! I don't know what I would want to do exactly, just have a bit of fun I suppose, and hopefully get myself a better\different mic. So I was wondering if any of you could point me in the right direction for general modding, and modding specific to this mic!

Thanks heaps all!!

The biggest problem with that mic is the really harsh electret capsule that is in it. You could look into using the Transound electret capsule that Scott Helmke uses for his "Alice" mic.

I know you want to DIY, but this will give you some ideas about what can be done. (btw - I'm not selling the TEAC ME-120 capsules I talk about for DIY work). best, M
