Mod for VoxAD50VT??

to make it so that the internal speaker is not disabled by plugging in an external speaker??

Internal is 50w rms into 12 inch 8 ohms.....assuming I can even make the mod, what kind of external impedance would I need to plug in to keep the amp seeing an 8 ohm load? Will a 50w amp even be able to keep up with an extra speaker??

Well, the impediance change would also change the internal speakers requirment. So you shouldn't do it.
 
Why not just trade up to the 100watt version with the 2 speakers?
