I just bought a M-audio mobile pre usb interface and I am trying to use it with Acid Pro 4.0. I am starting to record on my hp laptop for the first time.
I have been recording on my old desktop for a while just using adapters so I can plug straight into my soundcard. It always sounded pretty good for what I was doing.
Anyway the problem now is when I record thru the mobile pre onto the laptop i only get sound from one speaker/headphone. I never had that problem until I started using the Mobile pre. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong or have a setting wrong.
Please help
Thanks

put the switch on "mono" if you are only using one input. that will send it to both headphones. make sure you are recording to a "mono" track in acid as well. if you are utilizing both inputs on the mobilepre, then select "stereo" and record to a "stereo" track in acid.

yeah, channel 1 on the mobilepre does the left channel, and channel 2 is the right channel. if you only use one mic or input into a channel, you have to record in mono for that channel. if you got 2 mics, then you could record in stereo

so if i plug into the front channel 1 input it is only mono in the headphones.
How do I change my setting to mono? I looked under options and wasnt able to find it. Sure I am missing something.
Also how would I go about recording in stero if I wanted to, do I need to buy some kind of adapter or something.
