do i really need a mixing console on my pc to enhance my sound. say i just use my pc and frutiy loops cool edit and the sort with a good mic and headphones can i still get resonable sound. what else should i opt for?

A good engineer with great ears and quality technique could make a great recording with an SM57 and a stereo casette recorder. A lousy engineer with tin ears and no technique couldn't make a great recording in a million-dollar studio.

If you are using pre-made loops, the sound is already there. You can't add quality to a sound, you can only take it away.

No. You do not need a mixing console to make it sound "good". I use a mixing console for the preamps to run into my interface, and then also back in for monitoring.

By the sounds of it, what you're talking about is more or less a soundcard related issue. What soundcard are you currently using?

my sound card is a realtek i think but i was looking for a more enhance sound card so i can add mics mixing console etc. but really and truly i thought the more expensive stuff u have the better ur sound will be.

That is true to a point, but that mostly applies to your recording chain. If you are using loops, your recording chain doesn't matter. The guy who recorded the loop is who's recording chain matters.
