How do I use a limiter to bring the volume of tracks up during mixdown?

Do I put the limiter on the master channel, and then only process the master channel?

Will it be creamy and milky?
How do I assure that all tracks are creamy and milky smooth? (sorry... couldn't resist :D )

You can do this after the mixdown stage pretty easily. I usually do my compressing/limiting track by track, and then I give a big fat flying zap to the mixdown button. Once it's done mixing down, clear out your page and open up the mixdown. Now you've got one stereo track to mess with. Apply whatever limiting/compressing/gain raising once again, and then mix THAT one down. Your finished product will be the mixdown of the mixdown. :D

As far as making everything creamy, milky, and smooth, I usually just jack off onto my computer screen. Seems to work.

OOOHHH....Creamy.......Milky.....Wait!!!! I wrote a song about that. Do I get royalties........
