Here's my situation. I live in an basement apartment that is considerably large and wide open. My workstation is within this room but obviously I have an issue with dealing with the whole room. Last night, I was working on something in Pro Tools while my wife was making dinner, she's whistling and what not and even in headphones, I'm distracted. So I have two options; Move my workstation in to a storage room, or build some type of a temporary room in the apartment. There are plus' and neg's to each option. I would obviously receive the most isolation in the storage room but it smells like feces every once in a while and during the summer, it gets really hot. If I were to build some type of a temporary room in the actual apartment, I wouldn't have to put my equipment in a stinky, hot room. I was thinking I'd build like a cubical in the apt if I were to go that route. What would you do?
