Look at the Behringer ADA8000. 8-channels in and 8 out, AD/DA and Mic Pres all built in. Great unit, and a great price.

What mixer are you using now?

There are a couple ways to do what you are talking about. One would be to use your mixers direct outs. In that scenario, your direct outs would be connected to your soundcard, and the sound going into your mixer on each channel would go directly out to the soundcard, on each channel like it went in.

The other way would be to use busses. You'd connect the outputs of the busses and the main stereo output to your sound card. Then you would assign channels to busses. So for example, you'd send the kick to buss 1, the snare to buss 2, etc.

One difference between direct outs and busses is that usually direct outs send the sound out before it goes through the channel strip, and with busses the sound goes through the mixer before going out the buss. So if you eq your drums in the mixer, direct outs would send the channels to the soundcard *before* they were eq'ed.

Hope this makes sense the way I described it.

The mixers i got at the Minute are

a) Soundcraft Spirit NotePad (4 Chan)
b) Peavey Unity Series 1002. (8 Chan)
They both dont have any direct outs, just the master Left and Right Output.

The Behringer ADA8000 Pro-8 Digital, Only sets the Line Level.

What I am Looking for is a Mixer, that Has Say 10 Chans, I can set the Eq on every chan, and each chan goes separate to the 10 inputs on the soundcard.

Thanks,

but if i change the Eq on a chan, will the Direct out on that chan have those Eq's on it?.

& Dose anyone know any other good mixers for this?, Behringer dont seem to make any that do this that i've seen.

the 1402 won't do it - it doesn't have direct outs on the channels for a start. It's bigger brother, the 1604 does, on the first 8 channels. A good little workhorse of a mixer.l

just a thought, you might look into a monitoring board, like the type used for live work. They usually have 6, 8 or more outputs (aux sends) that are post eq. I think that would meet you requirement.

Also checkout the Soundcraft M-Series boards. They have 8, 10, and 12 channel versions (I think) with direct outputs on each channel, as well as channel inserts. The 12-channel version (M12) has 4 additional stereo inputs as well as four auxillary busses. Pretty good bang for the buck.

Get a Firepod man! 8 analog channels (+spdif in/out)...You can record directly to your computer, and can keep using your mixer to send just a stereo signal to the firepod...

(I just emailed Presonus, and they said me that really soon they will release a driver to use 2 or more Firepods at the same time... so don´t worry if you feel that you may need more channels sometime)

BTW, Thomann is one of the best sites to buy online in europe...
