Hello. Very newbie here and totally embarrassed! :o I come from a time back where the only mixing I did was with vinyl and some turntables and it was live! I'm trying to play around with MP3's and making some "sets" of music for my daughter. I've been looking around the internet for information on mixing MP3's. I'm just wondering if it's possible to find a program that will let me not only cut(split?) the MP3 where ever I want it chopped off, but also let me adjust the BPM and then paste all the cut MP3's together to make a "set" of music that all has the same BPM's. Is there a PC program for that that's not too expensive? I'm really only doing this because my daughter is on a Cheer team and I got roped into coaching it. We need a 2 to 3 minute set of music to dance to. I've tried looking into having a company mix the songs I want for me, but they wanted almost 500.00 dollars! I figure I can mix the music at home for cheaper. I also thought it'd be fun to mix my own music sets at home for parties or something. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

quite a few programms allow you to do that. Cubase is quite a good one to use. simply import the mp3 or .wav file and then cut where you want. Cubase VST retails for around... £30 which is around $40 i guess?

Look for adobe audition, perfect for editing and processing audio.
