Hey guys,
These are the equipments that I have -
3 acoustic guitars (one with a pick - up, one with a guitar mic, one without either)
One hell of a makeshift drum set which satisfies every quality of an ok drum set except for the hi-hat
One mixer (make-shift) which has 12 mic ins
It doesn't have anything except master volume, bass and treble adjustments
A mini hi-fi (SONY MHC G80) records nicely
5 mics, No specification known
Two guitarists both of whom sing (voices not the best you can get)
A drummer and a bassist
A small room with absolutely no acoustics
I cannot afford expensive equipment
So we have started recording some light songs as well as some heavy songs
We like, Alice In Chains, Metallica, Nirvana, Radiohead etc.
So I want to know how to set the mics for the drums
Now I keep one for the foot drum, one for the snare + hi-hat, one for the toms, one for the floor toms.
One mic for the vocalist and the guitars
With this arrangement, some songs really come well, not all but!
So how to adjust the mics.
Is there any tutorial available?
I have a PC with Cakewalk Pro Audio installed
I have an Creative Soundblaster AWE 64 sound card
So some one can help me?
