I'm wondering if it is possible to create a small area to mix in my bedroom. There is a small nook about 3'x3' off the main 9'x9' bedroom. I would be facing into the nook with my back to the bedroom. Is it possible to mix with say, some KRK V4's and maybe some acoustic treatment, or is it just too small of a space.
I'm currently using a Presonus Firepod into a Gateway laptop with a 1.6GHz dual core processor with 2GB of RAM and a 120GB hard drive. Everything else consists of: Mackie 1202vlz, A Shure SM57, Beta 52, A pair of Studio Project B1's, and an Audix DP6 kit, all to record my bands into Cubase SE3. I currently have to mix on Sony MDR-V700 DJ headphones.
Any usefull tips or upgrades I should make on a very thin dime would be appreciated.
There is also a drawing of the shape of my room in an attachment.
