Mixing guitars?

So i have those DI tracks that im not bothering to send since its just clean stuff but i was wondering how i could achieve them to feel something like that Buckethead - Soothsayer - YouTube I generaly do them by feeling but i want to improve my technique and im trying to reach some certain sounds.

Any idea how i could get near this sound?

They are already recorded clean? Amp modeling. Plug ins. Run them back out through FX/amp and rerecord them.

Record through a tube Marshall, wah pedal, and use a three way pickup switch on a guitar as a kill switch according to how the song is played.
