mixing down

If i had a sound card with 8 in's and 8 outs and a mixer how would i mixdown previously recorded tracks using the external mixer, not the one on a computer program like cubase. I'm kind of new to all of this and trying to get started in home recording so any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Matt - just assign your puter tracks to the eight outs and bring them up on your console and mix them from there to a recorder, cassette, whatever or you could reassign the output of your console back into the puter and record the mix.
