hey all,

I wanted to upgrade my workstation, as I've been tinking around with CEP for about a year...

I was thinking of probably purchasing a condenser mic...finally... I'd hate to part from my "first-mic"....

Also, I have a wireless mic system, for performances mainly...

and I was considering connecting my turntables too add that effect to my mixes....

I know that i'd need "phantom" support for most condensers.....beside that could anyone suggest some other features on a mixing board that might be important to look for in either a positive or negtive way?

I would like to use it for the dual purpose of studio recording, and as a mic-preamp/mixer for live performances.....

Any suggestions or links would be great...Thanks guys...

which type of live perf. do you do? music style?

would be important to know..

greets y.

sorry...I thought i should do that....

The performances are of the Hip Hop genre...I generally take the session of the artists track I "enigineered" lol.. and just drop the lead vocal, leaving only the ad-libs, or voice overs....a "performance" track which makes for a good sound....

As I said, I just need the board to support a condenser mic, and to run a turntable thru for studio work...

For performances, I guess it would just have to be able to support at least two microphones (wireless) with an output going dirctly to my mixer...

I have some general knowledge of setup and connections etc.; what im concerned of is the features and aspects i dont know of, like "THD" and other important terms, not to mention an affordable price...

hope this helps..sorry for the length... thanks for any feedback..
