Mixing and mastering competition ?

Maybe this occured in the past ... or maybe this is a silly idea

Why don't we, Sonar user, do a mixing and mastering competition for fun.

Let's say we have some waves (or mp3) which are typically drum, bass, guitar, keyboard, vocal, etc ... recorded raw with no effects, by some of us.

We put these single tracks on a server for each participant could download them and then make their own mixing and mastering within a time limit, let's say 2, 3 or 4 weeks.

So we can compare each other mix and setting and learn so much.

It we would fun to see each other vision of mixing and mastering.

What do you think ?

Hey, that was pretty good! (It was a good mix of Danish, old Norwegian and present Norwegian)! But I didn't get that last centense... :D

And where did you find my music? Please tell me it's not the songs on my page. They are 1,5 - 2 years old! :eek:

I wish that someone could provide space for the files. I will look what i can do on my side.

Uh, with my average of 65 tracks it's gonna be hard to join you guys (discspacewise)...I could try doing something without huge choruses of course, but that's the most challenging part about mixing my music. :)
