Mixers without Channel lnserts

I own that same mixer- it just got down graded to headphone mix- i got a Soundcraft M8- you can get 4 outputs off of that board- the preferable is the two mains- left and right- it also has 2 aux sends- but one is pre and one is post "fader"- the post wont do ya much good since if the fader is up its also going to the stereo outs too- see i guess really you got 3 outs- left main, right main, and pre aux- if your usin the pre aux make sure the fader is all the way down or else its goin to the mains- for the left and right- pan the respective channel hard left and right

I also have that same board. I use it along with an Audiophile 2496, which is a two-channel card (I do my multi-tracking on another machine). I send the mains to the sound cards inputs; the control room send to the monitors; and have the sound card outputs come back to two of the input channels. You have to be careful not to set up a feedback loop, but the mixer applet that comes with the Audiophile makes that easy.
