Hey guys,

I know this is a 'home recording' forum but had a question about live mixing.

First of all, we have a very ghetto setup. Mixer to Computer (camtasia video/audio capture) and computer back to mixer.

I wasn't there when my church was setting this up but our current mixer has its AUX 5's out to go into the computer.. (ex. We basically have one channel to record into the computer. They primarily want the audio from the pastor so one channel is fine, for now)

But the issue rises when we playback from the computer. Because our, lets say Ch17 is put through Aux 5 and it's sent to the computer. Computer plays a video, which, requires audio and sends the audio into the mixer. Because it's recording Aux5 when it sends audio for the video it also sends the Ch17's audio, as well. So if channel 17 does happen to pick up the sound from the speakers we have this audio loop cycle (can't figure out a way to say it.. lol)

1. With what we have how would you guys set this up?
2. How DO you and/or WOULD you guys set it up? (please include equipment and routing)

Thanks!!!

Merry Christmas :)
