mixer questions

I am looking to buy a new mixer. My price range max out at $600. What is the better mixer for recording vocals between the "behringer europower pmp6000", and the "allen&heath zed 12fx"? Does anyone know a better 1 in this price range?

Are you recording live, are you recording only at home or at a gig?

Are you recording so you can mix in a DAW like ProTools?

I'd say follow the link above and also take into account totally on what you are trying to achieve in terms of routing configurations with other gear etc.

If you are recording then that thread should answer all your questions. Many of the mixers can be used for live sound also but of you are recording there are specific features you want to look for based on your needs.

The Behringer you mention is for small live event use, not for recording.

The Allen & Heath is an okay board, but it only records the stereo mix.
