Mixer problems

Hi folfs... This is a repost of a post from another thread, but it seems more apropriate here. I'm newbie here. I'm setting up a basic home studio and I'm having trouble for some reason in getting my CD player to connect properly to my mixer. The Mixer is a Behringer 1204 Zenyx. The CD player is rather old, but works like a charm. It has only left and right RCA outs on the back. The problem is, I get sound out of both channels, but when I turn the Pan to the right, there's nothing. I've tries mono to mono RCA to 1/4 inch adapters cominf from the RCA outs on the CD player to the LINE IN 5.6 on the mixer... no dice.

Never mind.... it turns out Im just a moron. I was plugged into the sound cards mic input and not the Line IN. Duhhhh! That did the trick. Now I need a new CD player!
