Hi!

I have a Soundcraft SpiritFolioF1 mixer in my setup and run my soundcard thru it..

I had a amplifier for my speakers till now and have used the mix outputs to get the signal to redirect it to the amplifier and the speakers..

What is my problem? I've bought a near-field Dynaudio active speakers so I rid of the amp and I get a signal from mixer's monitor L & R channels..But..
Now my headphone's output on the mixer is not working...:(((

Someone told me that I can't use the both monitor and headphone outputs in the same time..Is it true?

How can I run both: the monitors and headphones?

Please help me..
I have Live Platinum for information..

There are some mixers whose headphone output is coupled with the monitor outputs so that connecting phones disables the monitor outs...

I suppose the concept is if you're using headphones, you want the speaker output muted - but I can't see that as very practical in a studio environment....... (not to mention that you could always simply turn down the monitor volume and get the same effect?!?!?)

Who knows, but I've seen it before... and if that's the case, the only way around it is to open the unit up and do some rewiring... (voiding any warranty in the process, naturally!)

Another example of budget being all about compromise, unfortunately...
