I am looking for some advice/opinions....I am a guitarist/songwriter looking to get some decent recordings. Here is what i have:
electric guitars and acoustics
Line 6 POD pro(guitar amp sim)
Korg X-3 workstation
Mesa boogie amp
vocal/instrument mics
M-Audio Delta 66
Option 1
I was thinking that i could run one of the Line 6 outputs directly into one of the delta's inputs and then run my vocal and instrument mics into a decent 4-bus mixer and go to the delta's inputs from the mixer?
Option 2
I could also run one of the Line 6 outputs directly into one of the delta's inputs and then run my vocal and instrument mics into a mic pre such as a M-audio DMP3 and then into the delta inputs.
what would be the best way to go in everyone's opinion? If i go the mixer route, can anyone recommend a decent 4-bus mixer Is the yamaha mg12/4 any good? Will the DMP3 do just as good of a job?
