Mixer for recording suggestions

Im interested in buying a mixer for recording, i currently have an audiophile 2496 but in the near future plan on upgrading to at Delta 1010LT. I would like at least 6 xlr mic ins, built in FX would be nice to. So I'm looking for suggestions, any price, and high quality please

Well this is a shot in the dark but I would suggest looking into the Soundcraft Spirit 'M' line of mixers... I believe they have a version that has 8 mono inputs (and four stereo). I do not have one but I've been looking into mixers for a little while now and I've found that this mixer is pretty reputable on this forum. The pre-amps are supposed to be pretty dang good, as well as the EQ.

There is a guy on this forum that can get you a good price on this unit (much better than any of the stores ive seen). Do a search...

just a suggestion.
