Mixer & Delta 1010

OK. I am setting up a home studio and i was going to buy the delta 1010. I need to be able to record at least 6 tracks at one time, for drums, so i thought the delta 1010 would be perfect for that. But now i need mic preamps. And instead of buying individual mic pres for each mic, to save on some money, i wanted to buy a mixer. I was looking at the mackies mostly. But i want to be able to output each individual track, from the mixer to the delta 1010 (and then into my comp). Individually though. And from looking at pictures and reading about the mackies, they don't have individual track outputs. Does anyone know of any mixers that have individual track outputs, or a way i can output each track individually from a mackie mixer. Or...do i really even need to output each track individually?? The only reason i wanted to was to EQ and add effects to each track. But since i can EQ the tracks and add effects to the tracks through the mixer that kinda defeats the purpose of needing all the tracks to be individual on my computer. Please give me your thoughts and input. Any advice you guys can give me would be awesome.

Depends on the mixer.

If you're looking at mackies, then you can use anything in the line starting with the 1202VLZ (e.g. 1402, 1604) because they all have channel inserts. A channel insert allows you to grab the signal right after the mic pre. You have either make a special cable or use a half-inserted cable to make it work though (e.g. only plug the cable in half way so that the ring of the cable contacts the sleeve of the jack), because a channel insert sends on the sleeve. This would create an unbalanced connection but that's no big deal.

Definetely check The M-series of soundcraft. They have individual track outputs which can be set pre or postfade, and they are quite ok in price.
