Hey, i was thinking of buying a delta 44 and possibly a Soundcraft E8 or a Yamaha MG16, theres a few things im still not sure about..
are the yamaha effects models good? they don't seem that much more..
how many channels can the delta record simultaneously?
are the channels recorded via the busses?
Are there other makes or models i should be thinking about?
does the delta 44 have an output so i can still listen to the computer audio through my cambridge audio amplifier? or will it come from the mixer now?
any help would be really great,
Rob

I've got the Yamaha MG12/4 and it does the job real well.
I'm not sure about the effects models - I prefer applying effects after recording. If you record the effect, and you don't like it you're stuck with it.
The delta 44 can record 4 tracks simultaneously.
You can record either via the buses or the inserts, or the various other mixer outs.
The 44 has 4 outputs. What I do with mine is run a pair back to the mixer, then 'tape out' to my amp for recording to tape and listening on the big speakers, and 'control room' out to a pair of active speakers. That still leaves 2 outputs from the 44 I could use for somethin else.
The 44 is a good versatile unit
