Mixdown to audio - what am I doing wrong?

Just bought the EMU 1820 PC soundcard with Cubase VST 5.1 bundled. There's a PDF manual for the EMU, but I can't find one for Cubase. So I've been trying to solve this problem and I'm sure it's something obvious.
I've managed to burn a single audio track (acoustic guitar) to CD, but everything else - even just one stereo track - won't play on Windows Media Player (it just freezes) or burn onto CD (using Nero, I'll end up with a CD with a track of 2minutes 50 seconds of silence).
I've followed all the rules I can think of when exporting audio (16 bit, 44.1 khz, stereo interleaved) and sent the .wav files to the desktop. For the successful guitar track, the file name ends with "_Audio1_1". For all the others, the file name ends with something like "Track 2 MO_1". Also, if the song contains 3 tracks then I end up with 3 separate .wav files!
I'm sure this is all in the manual........
Can anyone sort this out for me?
Thanks

Go to Export File -> Audio Mix(down) (or something to that effect). This will open up a box that has several options. Make sure that you have the file type set to .wav and you can select where it will put the mixdown. Your doing the 44.1 and 16 bit right so that isn't a problem.

That should leave you with a stereo audio wav file. Try playing it with a media player in your computer to make sure it came out right.

Then burn away.

Very strange problem you have there.
Just a shot in the dark, but if you have make sure you set the left and right locator at the beginning and end of your song..
Make sure it isn’t muted.
Can’t think of anything else but the obvious…
